This is actually my third rebrand.. We love a glow-up! I started as Cup n’ Crunch, then became My Thick Loaded Cookies, and now we’ve grown into the unapologetically bold brand you see today: Chonky Crumbz.

This whole journey began in my kitchen with my partner, Justin- my hype man, taste tester, and the reason I didn’t toss my mixer out the window on the tough days. Every time we’d get late-night cravings, I’d bake him something sweet. In between bites, he’d say, “You should just start your own business and do what you love.” It took a lot of convincing, due to fear of failing, but here we are!

Back home in the Philippines, I was taught how to cook and started baking at the age of six. Sure, my cookies and cupcakes were rock hard half (most) the time, but fresh out of the oven, I’d still eat them proudly. 😂 In Calgary, my friends and I would have bake days, and everyone told me the same thing: “Turn this hobby into something real, sis.”

The name Chonky Crumbz started as an inside joke between Justin and I, and our close friends know it too. It stuck, because let’s be real.. I bake chonky cookies, and the name just fit.

One night, while I was baking, I showed him a new 13oz cookie that I planned on releasing, however, Justin looked at me and said, “Go bigger! Make them chonky! Go big or go home!” Since I was already home, I went JUMBO! And just like that, The Big Chonk was born- a 16oz monster cookie! Chonky, thickk, and stuffed af! The epitome of satisfaction!! We don’t just bake snacks here… We bake a whole pound, baby!!

This is not your basic batch!

We don’t do polished, or corporate cute, and the only thing we’re sugar-coating is our cookies! Chonky Crumbz makes cookies that are loaded, extra, and way too boujee for boring words. Think of me as your unfiltered bestie handing you the chonkiest cookies you’ll ever dig your teeth into. And trust me, some people can down three 8oz of my Chonky cookies in one sitting. And some of our friends? They do it weekly! I appreciate the support and the love!

Not every cookie is XXL cookie temptation, don’t worry! Our Chonksters are smaller, snack-sized, but still dangerous, serving thickkk in every bite. These Chonky cookies are a little bit easier on the wallet…. And cardio! We know times are tough but times will stay tough if you don’t munch on Chonky cookies!

It’s been a wild ride of glow-ups, late nights, and cookie experiments, and this is only the beginning. My vision goes way beyond cookies. Baking is my passion, but I want this brand to grow into something even bigger, with a full lineup of unapologetic treats.

At the end of the day, Chonky Crumbz isn’t just a business. Baking has always been my comfort. My cookies are proof that sweetness can come out of even the hardest times (thanks, Mom— she says it in Tagalog 💕).

So yes, baking is my love language. Creating chonky, f*ing delicious cookies for my friends (and now, for you!) gives me so much joy!! We’re here because I love baking them.. And eating them too!!
